Growing cultural attraction is a powerful tool to transform economies, foster investment and provide long term job and population growth. Relocating companies and employees often choose communities with unique cultural experiences and a history of innovation. In support of regional population growth, income growth, employment growth, housing development, childcare capacity, innovation and private investment WEGA is working on a regional business incubator to ease the business startup journey, nurture business innovations and support emerging talent.  The resulting facilities and programs will serve five plus counties.

WEGA’s Regional Business Incubator will work to strengthen the impact of west central Indiana businesses by amplifying creative excellence, increasing knowledge and access and building collaboration. The facilities and programs include 7 tools to grow or start a small business: 1) the Social Exchange, a training facility and networking hub;  2) Kickstart, a business training and startup program; 3) Brand Studio, a pre-qualified network of branding and marketing experts; 4) Farm Store, a specialty farming incubator;  5) S. Perry Market, a retail training and startup facility;  6) Cookery, a food service training and startup facility; 7) Commissary, a commercial food production facility.

 
 

A Community Hub for Collaboration and Learning.

Working together and collaborating is a purposeful tool for economic advancement. It helps move business solutions forward by sharing skill sets, strengths, and perspectives. The SOCIAL EXCHANGE serves as regional hub for training, workshops, industry meetings, networking events, speaker series and social gathering.

A Business Program for perfecting, Growing and Starting businesses.

WEGA Kickstart is an online and in person training program designed to grow new businesses, support existing businesses and facilitate a culture and community of successful businesses operators.  Members have access to business courses, consultation, mentorship and networking with our business development partners.

A pre-qualified network of Branding and Marketing experts.

WEGA’s Brand Studio helps with qualified designers, developers and vendors who provide branding and communication solutions. Services include: logo, pitch deck, one pager, website, social media, videography, Photography, e-commerce and digital marketing design.

A Retail Store promoting Specialty Farm products and Producers.

Farm Store is an innovation that supports producers with industry resources, marketing and hassle-free sales.  It also gives customers direct, easy access to high-quality farm products.  In a single location, customers and local producers and fabricators can connect to the grow industry expertise and demand.

A Retail Center for learning and perfecting Sales and Merchandising.

S. Perry Market is a small business, micro-market providing affordable access to quality retail facilities.   It is a place for existing retailers to test new products and new retailer to train, test and learn.  S. Perry Market also provides an open air retail experience for customers to explore new locally produced products.

A Food Service Training Center for Operating and Starting food businesses.

WEGA Cookery is a facility and program serving to increase competency, increase workforce and increase new food business starts. This hands-on training will also provide opportunities for collaboration and innovation.  WEGA seeks to incubate the next generation of food service workers and food businesses.

A Certified Kitchen Facility for Commercial food Production.

WEGA Commissary works in support of the WEGA Cookery training facility, S Perry Market and Farm Store.  It provides a certified, commercial kitchen space for entrepreneurs cooking, preparing and packaging food for sale.  The space is also available to any food service provider.
